We’re incredibly proud to share that Jason was honoured with the Alan McArthur Unsung Hero Award at this year’s Safety & Health Excellence (SHE) Awards, held at the VOX in Birmingham.
While Jason might not fit the traditional definition of “unsung”—his journey and impact have been recognised before—this award feels especially fitting. It’s a powerful acknowledgment of his ongoing, behind-the-scenes commitment to changing lives through honest conversations about safety, fear, and mental health. His work continues to inspire and create ripple effects across industries, often in quiet but deeply meaningful ways.
The evening itself was fantastic. Hosted by comedian Jason Manford, the atmosphere was full of laughter, celebration, and connection. It was a real pleasure catching up with clients—both familiar faces and new ones—and watching so many deserving individuals and organisations be recognised for their contributions to health and safety.
A special moment of the night was seeing Alan Murray receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, a heartfelt and well-earned send-off as he prepares to retire from BSIF this year. It was a reminder of how much positive impact one person can have over a career.
We’re grateful to be part of such an incredible community, and even more grateful to see Jason’s continued dedication recognised in such a meaningful way.
