Reaching the Brink

This is a health and wellbeing talk where Sean discusses how he bottled up problems in his personal life from a childhood trauma. In his early twenties a series of events nearly took him to the brink and he tried to take his own life, he found a way of coping and it's only in recent years he has found a way to deal with problems head on which has helped him and his family. When this happened to Sean there was no one to speak up to and it is now Sean's goal to encourage people to speak up and listen.

There is a great link to safety in this session as throughout all this Sean was a supervisor, he always just did enough in his role, people knew he was struggling but didn’t speak up. If the door was closed, they didn’t approach. What type of supervisor did that make Sean?

Neurodiverse Universe

Joyce has worked with organisations to enhance their Human Factors and Organisational Cultures for over 20 years.  She recently qualified as a therapist and runs a private practice alongside her corporate work.  She is one of a growing number of adults receiving a diagnosis for neurodivergence later in life as the world catches up to the fact that it’s not just for children.

This experience often presents a mixed bag of emotions and can sometimes feel lonely. Joyce began to openly talk about her neurodivergence to raise awareness and advocate for the neurodivergent community.  She discusses life in a neurodiverse universe from several viewpoints, as: a scientists; a person with lived experience; a Human Factors professional, a therapist and a parent.  Everyone knows someone who is neurodivergent, so shared knowledge and understanding can help us all to navigate things more confidently.

How to avoid burnout and have a good work/life balance

Heidi knows from personal experience how hard life can be. 21 years ago she was in an abusive marriage, had two jobs, then lost a business, and was a single mum of three. Then she nearly died of pneumonia. Dialling 999 that night made her turn her life around.

Embarrassed and ashamed she knew things had to change and reached out for counselling, which unveiled a childhood trauma. Years later she had life coaching which helped her see life from a different perspective and gave her the ‘Hope’ she needed, she grew in confidence and gained the skills to deal with what she was going through, and understand the importance of looking after herself both mentally and physically.

Heidi is trained in overall Health and Wellbeing, providing a service that helps people heal the past, enjoy the present and plan a healthier, happier future with 1-2-1’s, group sessions, presentations and courses.

Beyond Three Words

When it comes to cancer awareness, many assume the only credible voices are medical professionals. Of course, doctors and cancer nurses play a vital role, but they’re not the only ones who can make a real impact—especially in the workplace.

Lived experience, combined with training and Sharron's collaboration with national cancer charities, brings a different kind of expertise. Just like mental health awareness isn’t only led by psychologists, cancer awareness should include those who truly understand the realities of working with, experiencing or supporting someone with cancer.

Everything Sharron shares is evidence-based, but it’s also practical, real, and focused on helping organisations create more open and supportive workplaces.

Andy Bishop

Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Speaker

VIEW PROFILEEnquire

Having spent much of his life operating in high-threat, high-pressure environments around the world, Andy developed various coping mechanisms — some healthy, others less so.

But behind it all, he carried a secret.

Every day, Andy wore a mask. Because in his world, "mental ill health didn’t happen to men like him." Yet, the greatest threat he ever faced wasn’t on the battlefield — it was within himself.

Andy’s talks explore his lived experiences with Bipolar Affective Disorder, life after suicide, and workplace stress. He’s someone who has battled with his mental health throughout adulthood, often in silence. For years, he kept it bottled up, afraid of the judgment that might follow if he spoke out.

Everything changed in 2017, when he lost a close friend to suicide. That tragedy became a turning point — and from that moment, Andy made it his mission to break the stigma that leaves so many, especially men, feeling isolated and unable to speak.

Through his honest, powerful storytelling, Andy helps others understand the complex emotions of grief, guilt, anger, and confusion that follow such losses — offering insight, hope, and a sense of connection.

His goal is simple but vital: to break the silence and get men talking.

Andy has spoken to audiences across industries, backgrounds, and borders — and wherever he goes, his message resonates.

Turning Tragedy into Triumph

This is a story Adrian shares about his own son who took his life at the young age of 24.

It is an incredibly powerful and sad story to tell, but at the same time you will hear Adrian turn the most tragic event that could ever happen to a dad, into something so positive.

The modern world can be very stressful, and at times we may encounter hurdles that are thrust in front of us, as we navigate the journey of life. And such is the pace and pressure, we often forget to the most important thing of all – the need to talk about our emotions and feelings.

Adrian will highlight to audiences that you are never alone, and we all need to talk at some point about how we are feeling, showing emotions isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength. It also helps people to understand why People choose suicide and understand that suicide can happen to anyone, and the effect it has on others.
